Rosalia
Rosalia Vila (aka Rosalia) is a Spanish pop singer and flamenco performer. She has been a part of the fringes of both traditional and popular music since her teens she also delves into other styles like the hip hop soul genre and trap. Her voice is said by no less an artist than the flamenco musician Pepe Habichuela as sweet and sharp but with a bite like older versions. El Mal Querer, her second album following Los Angeles in 2017, was both a critical as well as a commercial hit. It topped the Billboard Latin Pop Albums Chart and was awarded the Grammy. La Fama, featuring The Weeknd is due out in 2021. Motomami was her 3rd studio album. She worked with numerous musicians and producers, such as Cory Henry. In March 2022 the set began to be released in conjunction with Saturday Night Live's performance of Chicken Teriyaki. Rosalia was the first Spanish artist to sing solo on the program. Along with taking home three other Latin Grammy Awards for Motomami Rosalia, she also became the first female to be awarded the Latin Album of the Year twice.
