MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He is a major player in his part of the Latin mainstream. The hit song from 2016 Una Lady Como Tu was the recipient of a Colombian Kids Choice Award for the most popular Song in 2017. The album he released as his debut ADN was released through La Industria Inc., which is a Medellin-based Sony distribution firm. On the Top Latin Albums chart, it ranked no. 8. Vaina Loca, which was one of the Top Five smash hit in 2010, featured him alongside Ozuna. The group released Dopamina which was his top charting sophomore album in the years following. Then, in 2021 the singer sang a duet 2021 along with TINI on her hit song Maldita Foto. The smash hit La Bachata from 2000 was made available in 2023. Turizo is a product of a musical household the mother of his younger brother and father have been musicians. He has said in interviews that music is a must. When a young boy, he studied the guitar as well as the saxophone. Despite initially wanting to be veterinarian, Julian convinced him that learning with a Cuban singer would alter the direction of his profession.
